Well, it’s Halloween weekend. Are you going trick or treating? Hanging out at home and giving out candy? Going out to a party? Or holing up with movies and treats for an evening in? I’m taking Mister to a trick or treat trail tomorrow and a trunk or treat on Sunday. Going door to door is too much for me, but I still want him to have some fun. He’s got a costume, so I’ll get pictures and share them over the weekend. He’s looking forward to it. My mom will be on candy duty and I’m sure Mister will help with some of that as well.
I know I missed posting these books last week, this week it’s not Thursday, but Friday. This past month has taught me some things… about myself, and about our schedule. One thing is that we need to take Friday’s off homeschooling. The other thing is that Mister doesn’t need to do everything the curriculum assigns each day. It’s an intense curriculum, so as long as he’s learning and we’re meeting our states requirements, I’m going to ease up a bit. We’ve both been stressed out and school has become more of a chore than anything else and I don’t want it to be that way for him. I know we’re still going to have hard moments, but I feel like pulling back just a tad will lessen those hard moments for us.
Anyway, let’s start out this rainy weekend with some free books so we can curl up, keep warm, and binge read!!
