Free Books – 4/13/2021

I managed to finish chapter 10 by the skin of my teeth last night. Mostly because we had a lot going on Saturday and Sunday, so I didn’t have as much time over the weekend as I usually do. I still need to get more work on my short story done. But last night when I sent chapter 10 to my beta readers, I was surprised to hear from one of them as I was getting ready for bed. She said I made her cry! It’s the first time someone’s told me that about my writing. She really enjoyed the chapter, and she even said the main character reminds her of herself. There’s 22 chapters in the first draft, so now that I’m ready to work on chapter 11, I can officially say we’re halfway there!
