Free Books – 7/7/2021

With everything we had going on yesterday from making arrangements to my sister coming to the house, getting the free books blog post up wasn’t at the forefront of my mind. I’m sure you understand that. There isn’t much in the way of arrangements we can make today, so we’re all just kind of laying low. This evening we’re going to my sister’s for my nephew’s 18th birthday. It’s a small surprise party and the only time their whole family will be home is in the evening. I know they want us there, and I want to be there for my nephew, but I’m not in the right mindset for a party. None of us are really, but we’ll put on a brave face for his sake. Things were a bit rocky and stressful yesterday, especially while my sister was here. I don’t want to cause arguments, especially given the current circumstances, but my sister and I are total opposites when it comes to most things. while she was here yesterday she swooped in with Mister and pretty much did things her way while I bit my tongue and let her. She loves spending time with him and I love that he’s happy spending time with her too, but she literally just took over and didn’t bother to ask if any of it was ok with me. I’m sure she thought she was helping by taking some of the responsibility off me, but I didn’t see it that way. There’s so much more to it than I can share here of course. And I don’t want to get into it right now. These posts are supposed to be about sharing daily free books so we can discover new authors to fall in love with. So let’s get into that, shall we?
