Dropping a quick note for you this Mother’s Day…
I hope you’re enjoying this day. Whether you are a mother, know a mother, or support someone like a mother.
It’s a quiet day home with my mini me, but I got a flower and a card and he picked out a balloon and teddy bear for my mom. She’s working the dreaded retail job today, but will be home this evening and later this week we’re having a girls’ day out. Not only are we celebrating Mother’s Day, but Wednesday is also her birthday!
Enjoy this day with your family, no matter the circumstances. Really, every day should be Mother’s Day. Celebrate a woman you love like a mother today. Teachers can be mothers, aunts can be mothers, sisters can be mothers, they don’t have to be your mother to love you like a mother. I know I have a few precious women who love me like that. Some are no longer with us, but I know they watch over me.
Writing-wise, there isn’t much to report. Except…
The other day I was listening to a podcast for writers, by writers and I had a major inspiration about my series. It’s going to require a bit of a rewrite to the second book, but I’m excited about it. It’s also resulted in a short story to come before the second book starts. I’ll keep you posted as I work out more details.
