Weekly Writing Update

I know I need to plan to post these more consistently on Sundays, but at least I’m getting them up every Sunday, right? I think just having the habit of doing it every week is big, at least for me. I have a hard time forming lasting habits most of the time, but I’m working on it! I recently bought the Brillant Life Planner from Brillant Business Moms. Because it’s so far into the year they were discounted, so I decided to try one and see if it helps me. I know I tend to waste a lot of time I could spend on writing and such and I need to hold myself accountable to change that. What about you? Are you good at time management and using your time wisely? Or do you procrastinate, then wonder where the day went when you look at the clock and it’s 4:30pm, but you’ve hardly done anything all day? That’s me most days, lol. I’m embarrassed to admit it, but I know admitting it might help others feel like they’re not alone in feeling the same way.

On another note, I wanted to share something with you I’m hoping will be a good thing. I recently started a Patreon page so my fans can show their support and have another way to interact and connect with me.

So, writing wise… I feel like I’ve got a decent handle on the outline for version two of book two, lol. I’ll look at the outline again today and see if I need to make any changes, etc. Then, tomorrow is when I start writing the first draft! I’m excited because I get to focus on two minor characters from the first book… this is their story! I also have a short story that came from the first version of book two. It serves as a bit of an epilogue to the first book, so it might go there, but we’ll see. As for the novella… I’ve finished the first read-through and I have a few changes I need to make, then I’ll dig into revising it further. There’s a poll up along with the blurb in my Facebook group, so you can head over there and join so you can vote and connect with other readers and writers too!

For now, I think that will wrap up this week’s update. I feel like I’m in a better place than I was last Sunday, so that makes me happy!
